Easy Process, Full SUPPORT

We can handle everything to minimise the time you have to spend in making your claim.

1

Initial Evaluation

Our engineers will consult with you about your business and it's innovations (either in person, by phone or through email). They will ask you a series of questions to help identify whether your project meets the R&D scheme's criteria. If needed our engineers will then research into your industry to confirm your innovations. If your project meets the criteria then they will arrange to meet with you in person to discuss the potential of the claim and clearly outline what needs to be done in order to submit the claim.

2

Information Gathering

Our engineers will work closely with you and your accountants to gather all the information needed to prepare your claim. We are flexible with how we do this, whether it be in a face to face meeting, by email or telephone. We will find a solution and time frame that suits you.

They will explain in Jargon Free English what technical information they will require in order to write the supporting narrative that proves your project meets the R&D criteria. They will also work closely with you and your accountant to ensure that they uncover every potential cost that can be included in the R&D claim.

3

Research & Technical Report Writing by Engineers

An R&D claim for a UK Company requires a detailed Financial and Technical report that explains how and why the project qualifies for R&D as well documenting the exact costs being put into the claim.

This is where we stand out from the rest. Our engineers have not only completed numerous R&D reports for successful claims but they have also been involved in their own R&D projects over the years. This puts them best placed to be able to write the technical reports, rather than enthusiastic Tax Consultants with no industry experience.

We will prepare the report, consulting you throughout and once complete will submit it to you as a draft to review.

4

Ongoing Support

Once the final version of the report is agreed, it will be sent to you for approval before submission by your accountant along with the amendment in your Corporation Tax Return.

After submitting the claim HMRC has up to 1 year to come back to you with an enquiry about any Corporation Tax matter. We will stand by you throughout this time, offering support and proactively dealing with HMRC for you, should an enquiry arise.

After the claim has been successful and you have received the money to your bank account we will switch to an advisory role where we can support you in making any subsequent claims in the future.
